I was asking around one of my IDP leagues about how to create a team logo for my avatar and an opponent of mine told me you guys did a good job. I have named my team, Kramerica Oilers. I could go any route that you guys wanted. I could go the "KO" route or possibly the route of the older Houston Oilers logo kind of thing. I could go any kind of color scheme. I'm kinda psyched to see what you guys can come up with (as I've looked over some of your other work and I have liked a bunch of them) Can ya help me out? edit- I just happened to look at your rules thread and don't know if I broke one of your rules by not stating which colors I would want. Also, I am legit. I play mostly at EFS. As far as the colors go, I am a 49ers fan, so I could go with their colors. OR you guys have the freedom to play around with whatever colors you want. Something I was thinking about was something to the effect of Oil actually spewing out. Kinda giving the helmet a 2 tone feel with it raining oil and possibly collecting into a pool at the bottom of the helmet. With it being Kr AMERICA Oilers, you could actually use the Red, White, and Blue theme, if you'd like. I'm easy going, so I'm sure I'd like whatever you guys create edit2- As far as which helmet template, I like template #1 or even the one further down that said "new template". I'm more old school, so if it looks more like old school, that's me (not as old school as leather helmets  ) |

Just curious to know if the powers that be have seen my request for a helmet logo? I'm in no big hurry, but just wondering if I posted my request in the correct manor? Just drop me a reply to let me know what you might need me to do or to keep me updated.

I must say, you are quite creative. You know how other teams are just having a picture on their helmet (and I know you said the helmet will come a little later) without having their team name on it..... I think that's really what I'm looking for. Either something with the "KO" (ala the SF for the 49ers) or a picture of something like the old Houston Oilers field rig maybe spewing oil all over the helmet (that's about the only creative thoughts I had on it,  ) That "K" in the middle of the O (in your initial design) kinda makes me think it's reading as "Kilers" Just one of those mind tricks ;D |

Somebody had emailed me a few Houston Oilers helmets, but I'm sure getting those would be simple enough for ya, but then I had this simple thought.
What if I had my helmet facing towards ten o'clock, that way a little bit of the back of the helmet is showing. Then I could just have a "sticker" with the letters "KO" within that sticker. You know how the teams pay respect to former coaches or players (who may have died, or gotten hurt) by putting their initials or numbers on the back of their helmet.
Maybe tilt my helmet that direction a little and put me a KO sticker on the back of my helmet, towards the bottom. Is the Houston Oilers logo copywrited? Or are you able to use it? If not, are you able to design your own that looks very similer?

Ok, now we're onto something. My only creative thought about this helmet (from a little while back) was if there happened to be some Oil spewing from the top of the Oil Tower and then there would be some Oil ponding at the bottom of the helmet, creating a 2-tone effect. At some point, you could also put a "KO" towards the bottom-back of the helmet (ala NFL teams when the show rememberence)
If you remember the Seinfeld episode where Kramer used a big rubber ball, filled with oil and pushed it out of the window to see if the rubber bladder would or wouldn't bust. Turns out it busted. Perhaps what could be "spewing" out of the oil tower could look like little balls and then a few bigger ones could be busting at the bottom of the helmet, with oil everywhere at the bottom.
Like I said, that was my only "creative" thoughts. If you have an idea on how to do this, that would be awesome. If you see it as something new and creative to work on, that would be cool, but if you don't think it can be done, I guess I could live with the current Houston Oilers helmet, if you could add the little "KO" sticker towards the back/bottom of the helmet.

Looks like you're on the right track. Let's do a couple things to it. I like the oil that's spewing out of the top of the tower, that looks pretty cool. If you could make the oil raining, look more like drops, that would be cool. You could also make a bigger pool of oil with a big drop of oil making a splash into the pool (probably at the rear of the helmet, where's there's more room to work with. You can also make the tower a smidge smaller, if you have to, in order to do what you have to do.
Color change. I know the Houston Oilers went to a blue helmet on some occasions. Let's try that one. Let's make it a North Carolina Blue helmet, with a white Tower. You can outline the Tower in Red. The "racing" stripes on the helmet would have a Red center stripe and white stripes on both sides. Make the the facemask Gray (also make the snaps gray too).
The "KO" looks good in that spot too.
Let's see what those changes look like. I think we're very close. Nice job

I don't have a psd file, I only save them as the images that I post here. I have always just redone them when needed. I can send you the helmet template if you want so you can adjust that?!? Let me know and when I am on my other PC I can send your way!
